I don’t really like this caricature painting. ugggh! I don’t understand how people can create outstanding painting everyday. I guess more practice to come. Yes, MORE PRACTICE!

I usually do this type of line sketches on my sketch book with a ball pen. Here’s a try to do it on PS while playing with the setting to resemble a ball pen feel. Couldn’t feel the comfort with I had with a ball pen, which means more practice.

It’s Doodle Tuesday!
At times, I have this inner battle in me. We all know in order to be good at something; you have to continue working on your craft, consistently. The problem I have is that I like too much things. Regardless, they’re all in similar fields….all art/creative related of course. I love photography, design/typography, and illustration. My problem is I go through seasons of doing one of those things to the fullest. I practice one thing and I neglect the others for a few days or weeks. Like last year, I was into my photography, because I had ideas and shoots coming. This year, more design and illustration are into works. Don’t get me wrong, I still would take photos and edit them, but just comparing them to where I was, I feel like I’m not getting enough consistent practice. The same goes if I’m working too much with design or illustration. I guess it’s a good problem to have, just got to make sure I do all this to improve my craft.
I think in the near future, one of these has to take a front seat, because I have to focus on that to be great at it. I’ll still have the others, because I can never strip them off my life.
Oh, and to add to this, I’ve been into culinary arts the last few months or so. HAHA

I took a concept illustration in college creating story board. I was overwhelmed in that class because that was for animation/illustrator majors. That was challenging! I think I’ll try to do more of this kind of sketches, because its just a quick and easy, free handed drawing. Nothing special. Hopefully I get better.

Being happy is a choice…everyone please choose to be happy or work to be happy. When I get sad or just have one of those days, I get back to my roots of art. Even culinary helps me now a days. It works for me.

This week has been hard, my beloved Aunt passed away. I know its for the better and it was God’s plan all along. I miss her dearly but I know God has her and thats what matter the most.

It’s a gift store. I don’t know what they sell but it’s a gift store. I guess, its a place to buy creative gifts. They also have personal assistants to help u find that perfect gift for someone. hahaha
I think the best gifts are the one given in random times. The, “here’s a gift because it reminded me of you” deal. The one that doesn’t need an occasion such as bdays, xmas, graduation, etc.., its just because Im thinking of you and I wanted to make you happy type of present. It doesn’t have to be big, just a little thing like someones fave gum or something. Those are the best! Don’t get me wrong, Im very grateful and appreciative in receiving anything for my bday but its kind of expected. Sometimes, i feel like the gift is just what a person NEEDS to do just because i gave him/her one for their bday. If you want to make someone happy just give it to them without waiting for an occasion.

It was my bro’s bday, so I ordered him 72pc of California Rolls. I started doodling while I was waiting at a Japanese restaurant using their napkins. It’s suppose to be a two-stick Popsicle but the shading got complicated with a ball pen to napkin transfer. hahaha
Summer has been going GREAT! N0 special trip like the past three summer, but it’s been going smooth with spontaneous fun activities. The weather needs a little help of recognizing what season, but can’t complain because I love me some cool bree
So, I hope this summer can be more of a creative summer, working on personal work, because client stuff tend to get the best of me.

I took twitter off my phone because I’ve been on my phone a lot and i see it as a distraction. I might upload it again but for now I have to be the same person I was before twitter. It’s hard but I had to do it.
